THE JOB
We are looking for a Sous or Senior Sous for a very exciting and successful restaurant championing bright & bold flavours, open fire cooking and working with the best seasonal produce. You will support the female Head Chef and female owner to lead the team and play a crucial role in the growth of this business. This already well-loved restaurant serves thoughtful vegetarian dishes which are a big focus on the regularly changing menu, and meat and fish dish are carefully selected from high quality ethical suppliers. The drinks menu features a mix of natural, low intervention wines and cocktails which are simple twists on the classics. The wonderful owner has also launched a super successful cookbook and has lots of exciting plans ahead for the business.
We are looking for a progressive Sous or Senior Sous Chef to join this brilliant business, with experience in running busy kitchens to a high standard. You don’t have to have experience cooking on fire, but an understanding of a broad ranges of spices, flavours and cuisines is great as well as a keen interest to learn more. You will work collaboratively with the Head Chef on the ongoing menu development, which changes regularly.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week and is consistently busy so you’ll have a nice mix of shifts and this is a full time 48 hours a week role.
