THE JOB
We are looking for a Production Sous Chef for a very exciting and successful restaurant championing bright & bold flavours, open fire cooking and working with the best seasonal produce. You will support the female Head Chef and female owner to lead the team and play a crucial role in the growth of this business. This already well-loved restaurant serves thoughtful vegetarian dishes which are a big focus on the regularly changing menu, and meat and fish dish are carefully selected from high quality ethical suppliers. The drinks menu features a mix of natural, low intervention wines and cocktails which are simple twists on the classics. The wonderful owner has also launched a super successful cookbook and has lots of exciting plans ahead for the business.
We are looking for a progressive Production Sous Chef to join this brilliant business, with experience in running busy kitchens to a high standard. You don’t have to have experience cooking on fire, but an understanding of a broad ranges of spices, flavours and cuisines is great as well as a keen interest to learn more. You will crucially look after the running of the production kitchen in the restaurant and manage a small but tight knit team
The restaurant is open 7 days a week and is consistently busy. You will work mostly daytimes and this is a full time 48 hours a week role.
