TRACKS Integrated Services is seeking an experienced and passionate coordinator for an Indigenous Youth Program on behalf of a respected Northern Territory organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated youth program in Katherine and make a genuine impact within the local community.

About the Role As the Indigenous Youth Program Coordinator, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of the program in Katherine, helping to create positive outcomes for young people and their communities. You'll mentor and support a team of youth workers, oversee program operations and budgets, ensure compliance, and build strong partnerships with schools, community organisations and local stakeholders to deliver culturally safe and engaging programs.
Key Responsibilities - Lead, mentor and support a team of youth workers.
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Indigenous Youth Program.
- Develop, deliver and evaluate engaging youth programs.
- Manage program budgets, reporting and funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, safeguarding and mandatory reporting obligations.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, community organisations and local stakeholders.
- Foster safe, inclusive and culturally respectful environments for young people.
- Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement.
About You You'll be a compassionate and capable leader with a genuine passion for supporting young people, empowering communities and creating positive change.
Essential - Relevant qualification supported by industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within youth or community services.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current Working with Children Clearance.
- Current National Criminal History Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID003 or higher).
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived, as this is an Identified Position.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Desirable - Five or more years' experience in Youth and Community Services.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid, de-escalation training or trauma-informed practice
