About the Company
Our Client has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Platform Engineer. They are looking for someone with a strong conceptual understanding of Kubernetes, someone who has built on top of Kubernetes through operators and controllers or developer tooling. They have been rewarded multiple times for their Technology & People First culture coupled with being listed on the ASX Top 50.
 
What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain CLI tools to improve developer experience.
• Develop on top of Kubernetes, leveraging operators, controllers, and developer tooling.
• Contribute to their engineering platform by implementing best practices for resilience, performance, and reliability.
• Work with technologies such as Argo CD, AWS, GitHub API/SDK, and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, OTEL).
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Kustomize, CircleCI, and Buildkite.

What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency in TypeScript, with Golang experience being a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes from an application developer’s perspective.
• Experience developing CLI tools and working with developer platforms.
• Familiarity with GitHub APIs/SDKs for development automation.
• Strong expertise in site reliability engineering (SRE), system resilience, and performance optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, OTEL).
