Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer

We’re representing an innovative and fast-growing company looking to hire a Mid-Level Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for a unique opportunity to shape a brand-new role.

This mid-level, full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently: This is a standalone position offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact in shaping QA processes and driving quality across the organisation.

The role is primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration and is well-suited for someone who thrives in smaller, and agile environments.

The Role:
As the QA Engineer, you’ll work with the CTO and developers to ensure the quality and reliability of a .NET-based platform with fortnightly release cycles. This hands-on role involves developing and executing test plans, performing manual and automated testing, identifying and tracking bugs, and ensuring all releases meet performance, security, and scalability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing across front-end, back-end, and mobile components.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure new releases meet design, scalability, and security requirements.

About You:

• Proven QA experience (ideally 5+ years) with a strong understanding of software QA methodologies and tools.

• Expertise in manual and automated testing, particularly for .NET applications (ASP.NET, MVC, Web API)
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar
• A proactive problem-solver who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• Familiarity with SQL Server and Entity Framework
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• You will be based in Melbourne, open to remote work.
• Full working rights in Australia
