- Role Title: AI Engineer (Software / Data) - Technical Lead

- Contract Rates: $1100 - 1200 pd + gst *

We are seeking an experienced AI/Software/Data Engineer to lead the development, deployment, and optimisation of LLM-based applications. The ideal candidate has a solid background in AI/ML, cloud architecture, and software engineering, with a passion for delivering robust, scalable, and human-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and deployment of LLM-powered solutions, including model training, fine-tuning, and inference workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and optimise pre-processing and training algorithms to enhance model performance.
- Architect scalable, event-driven systems for real-time or batch processing.
- Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS) to build and manage robust ML pipelines, including tools like Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, and Docker.
- Design and maintain data schemas and APIs to ensure system interoperability and scalability.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in ML development, including standardisation and reproducibility.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying ML/AI solutions in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Expertise in cloud-based development, particularly with AWS.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and API design.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD workflows and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with large language models and natural language processing (NLP).
- Background in developing secure, scalable, and resilient application architectures.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring engineering teams.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and lean development principles.
