Senior Data Business Analyst - Data & Analytics Transformation

Contract: 6 months (potential extension to 9 months total)
Rate: $950 per day (inclusive of Super)
Location: Melbourne CBD
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per week in office
Start Date: ASAP (2 weeks notice preferred)

About the Opportunity
Our client is a major Australian technology organisation who are embarking on a significant analytics transformation program that will shape how they leverage data to drive strategic decisions and business outcomes.
 
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll lead critical diagnostic and improvement initiatives within their data and analytics function, working with enterprise-wide stakeholders and next-generation analytical platforms.

What they're looking For

Must-Have Skills:

• Business Process/Value Stream Mapping and Business Process Reengineering expertise
• Deep knowledge of Data Analytics  - from data engineering through to BI/analytical usage
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement at senior executive levels
• Strong project and change management experience
• Proven ability to influence and align cross-domain stakeholders
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies

Essential Experience:

• 8+ years as a Business Analyst
• Leading data-driven initiatives with measurable business impact
• Managing complex stakeholder dynamics and conflicts
• Working with teams across Asia & ANZ regions
• Expert-level business analysis and requirements management
• Strategic thinking with ability to introduce innovative solutions

You'll navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, working across multiple domains to align key metric definitions across the organisation. This requires strong influencing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining momentum on critical initiatives.
