The Opportunity This organisation is investing heavily in renewable energy, battery storage and operational technology infrastructure across Australia and is building a mature, scalable cyber security capability to support continued growth.

Working closely with executive leadership, engineering teams and operational stakeholders, you will lead cyber security and resilience initiatives across both corporate technology and operational environments.

The role will suit someone comfortable operating strategically while remaining close enough to engineering and delivery teams to drive practical outcomes and meaningful security uplift.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cyber security and operational resilience initiatives
• Develop and mature cyber governance, risk and security frameworks
• Oversee cloud, infrastructure and operational technology security uplift
• Support cyber resilience across renewable energy and battery storage environments
• Drive alignment to SOCI obligations and broader critical infrastructure requirements
• Lead incident preparedness, response and recovery planning
• Partner closely with engineering, operations and technology leadership teams
• Provide executive-level reporting and cyber risk guidance

Ideal Background

• Senior cyber security leadership experience within energy, utilities or critical infrastructure environments
• Strong technical grounding across cloud, infrastructure and cyber engineering
• Exposure to OT, industrial control systems or operational resilience programs
• Experience within renewable energy, BESS or grid infrastructure environments highly regarded
• Knowledge of SOCI and broader critical infrastructure obligations
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
• Ability to balance security outcomes with operational and commercial realities
