Growing financial services firm seeks IT Systems & Support Engineer to own internal tech and help transition from MSP to in-house IT.

We are looking for an IT Systems & Support Engineer to take ownership of internal technology support as the business transitions from an outsourced MSP model to a more internalised IT capability.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll manage day-to-day IT support while helping improve systems, tools and processes across the business.
Ticket volumes are relatively modest (around 10–15 per day across the business), but the role requires someone comfortable owning issues end-to-end and working across the full IT environment.
This role suits someone comfortable supporting users while also improving systems, automating tasks and fixing root causes rather than repeatedly addressing the same issues.
What you'll be doing
• Provide day-to-day IT support across the business
• Manage systems, infrastructure and user environments
• Work with technology vendors
• Help transition tools and support capability from an outsourced model
• Improve IT processes, documentation and systems reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across devices, applications and networks
Technology Environment You’ll be working across a typical modern corporate IT stack including technologies such as:
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Azure / Entra ID identity and access management
• Windows desktop environments
• Endpoint security and device management platforms
• Networking, WiFi and VPN infrastructure
• Remote monitoring and management tools
• Business applications used within financial services environments
Experience across cloud-first Microsoft environments and supporting end users across a modern SaaS ecosystem will be highly valued.
We're looking for someone who
• Preferably has a degree or tertiary education qualification
• Enjoys owning problems and seeing them through to resolution
• Has experience supporting business IT environments end-to-end
• Is comfortable working across systems, infrastructure and user support
• Has experience working alongside MSPs or external technology providers
