Job Opportunity: Trainee Surveyor

Salary: £21,469 - £25,558 Per Annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role Are you ready to build a rewarding career in surveying? We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our Trainee Surveyor Programme and develop the skills and experience needed for a bright future in the industry.
Your role will blend “on the job” training with live projects, giving you hands-on experience in one of our core areas: Products, Response, Capital (Refurbishment works), or Painting and Decorating.
What We Offer
- Salary Range:
- £21,469–£22,500 for Level 3 qualifications (e.g., A Levels, NVQ Level 3, Advanced Diploma).
- £25,558 for degree-level qualifications.
- Profit Share Scheme: This year, 12.32% of company profits were shared with employees.
- Employer pension contributions of up to 7%.
- 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing to 25 days after 5 years). Option to buy up to 5 days or sell up to 3 days annually.

Key Responsibilities With support from experienced Surveyors and Business Managers, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience with financial and technical contract management, including procurement, invoicing, payments, and cost control.
- Learn to maximise value and create cost efficiencies to generate profit.
- Collaborate with direct labour, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure high service standards.
- Build strong working relationships with your team, customers, and clients through excellent communication skills.
- Develop negotiation skills for procuring materials and subcontractors.
- Support the production of monthly commercial reports, including Cost Value Reconciliations, becoming accountable for contract costs and profit.
- Participate in tendering and securing new work while managing key client relationships.
Training and Development You will attend a
structured modular training programme delivered by our in-house Academy and work towards further qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying). Alongside formal training, you’ll have ongoing support from your mentor and team as you build your career.
What We’re Looking For - Logical and analytical thinking, with a passion for numeracy and IT skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- A minimum qualification of A Levels (or equivalent Level 3 qualification) and a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths at grade 4/C or above.
- A genuine interest in the construction industry and our work.
