Show Meat Final Emulsifier Operator - Day Shift

Monday – Friday | 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
The Role
As a Show Meat Final Emulsifier Operator, you play an important role in ensuring raw materials are accurately prepared, handled and transferred safely, efficiently and in line with site requirements. This is a hands-on role in a fast paced, temperature-controlled food manufacturing environment, where you may work across different areas based on operational needs.
In this role, you work alongside other Operators and team members to support activities across the batching function, including decanting and rechop. This may include removing packaging from raw materials, feeding product into processing equipment, handling partially processed product, and completing cleaning and housekeeping tasks. Depending on operational requirements, you may perform a variety of production tasks that support the safe and effective running of the department.
The Purpose of the Role - Preparing and cleaning workstations
- Setting up and pulling down of equipment
- Opening powder bags
- Operating or assisting with tippers and associated equipment
- Transferring product, bins and materials between work areas
- Transporting tippers or waste bins where required
- Emptying rubbish and maintaining housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Completing basic production and quality paperwork where required
- Monitoring multiple mixers
- Following the recipe
- Monitoring the incoming and outgoing product
- Quality checks
- Communicating with other area in auto batch
About You - Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Familiarity with production equipment and machinery
- Understanding of equipment set-up and pull-down procedures
- Ability to perform quality checks and accurately complete quality documentation
- Experience using HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems
- SAP user experience
- Knowledge of allergen management procedures
- Understanding of stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
- Experience with recipe management processes
- Ability to identify, manage, and report deviations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach to work
- Physically fit and capable of performing very heavy manual tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple mixers simultaneously
- Strong prioritisation and time-management skills
