The role:
As part of the Community Services Support Team, our Rostering Officers play a vital role in providing centralized rostering support for our community-based and in-home programs. We prioritize collaboration with service delivery staff to achieve outcomes centred around our clients. You will help Centacare continue to provide person-centred support to older individuals and younger people with disabilities, assisting them in maintaining their lifestyles in line with our Mission, Vision, and Values.
This 12 month fixed-term full-time Rostering Officer position will be based at Stones Corner and is an office based role with hybrid (work from home) options available, dependent upon training requirements during the probation period.
Key Duties:
- Respond to roster requests within designated timeframes, addressing urgent requests promptly.
- Fill shifts promptly to minimize client disruption and maximize cost efficiency.
- Manage staff queries regarding rosters and communicate changes effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including run sheets, case notes, and rosters.
- Proactively plan upcoming roster activities.
- Adhere to business procedures and WH&S policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Skills and Experience: - High level of resilience, flexibility, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and think on your feet.
- Initiative and discipline in managing your workload, with a commitment to a solutions-focused approach.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Client Information Management Systems such as AlayaCare.
Essential requirements for the role: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in high volume Rostering/Scheduling Coordinator roles in large scale Community Services providers, ideally Disability and/or Aged Care providers.
- Evidence of applying excellent organisation, time management and coordination skills to maximise efficiency in a busy rostering environment.
- Current QLD Working with Children Check – ‘Blue Card’ and NDIS worker screening clearance (or eligibility for).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- Evidence of Australian Work Rights to confirm citizenship or a visa holder (provide evidence at interview).
- Current (no less than 3 months) Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check; and a signed statutory declaration stating you have no criminal offences (Australia and overseas).
