About the Role As an Educator, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and families while supporting their learning, development and wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive and meaningful relationships with children and support their learning, development and wellbeing
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging programs, activities and experiences
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for children and families
- Support children’s behaviour using positive, respectful and supportive strategies
- Observe, document and contribute to assessing children’s development and progress
- Work collaboratively with educators and team members to deliver a high-quality service
- Bring creativity and enthusiasm to planning activities and learning experiences
- Communicate positively and professionally with children, families and colleagues
- Demonstrate patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with children
About You We’re looking for someone who is
enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
You will ideally have:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to complete
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF), or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, caring and inclusive approach to working with children
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities and experiences
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and positive experiences for children and families
