About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Aurion Subject Matter Expert to lead the diagnosis and design of remediation and project work across our Aurion system. You'll bring deep Aurion expertise to identify what needs to change and how, working closely with our Functional Lead — who implements changes in the live system — while managing a direct report focused on business-as-usual support.
This is a genuine opportunity to shape a significant remediation program at the expert level, without owning day-to-day system operation, in a mission-driven organisation where the work has direct impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues and design solutions across pay conditions, award/EA interpretation, and Aurion system configuration
- Lead remediation and project work, defining what needs to change and the approach to get there
- Work closely with the Functional Lead, who implements agreed changes in the live system
- Manage and support a direct report responsible for BAU Aurion/payroll operations
- Validate and review changes once implemented, ensuring they meet requirements
- Partner with Finance, HR, and People & Culture on project-related process needs
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong Aurion expertise, ideally including remediation, implementation, or complex configuration design work
- Solid understanding of Australian award/EA interpretation and payroll compliance
- Experience leading or mentoring a team member, or readiness to step into that responsibility
- Comfortable operating in an advisory/design capacity, working through others to implement change
- Comfortable working autonomously in a lean, resource-conscious environment
What We Offer - Competitive salary package.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Exposure to large-scale payroll and HR transformation initiatives.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- The opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports individuals, families, and communities across Queensland.
