Are you a passionate and organised cook who loves creating nourishing meals in a warm, community-driven environment? Windsor Neighbourhood Childcare Centre is looking for a dedicated Centre Cook to join our small, welcoming early learning centre in Windsor, where we care for up to 54 children each day.
This is more than just a kitchen role — you'll be a key part of our centre, preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks that support children's learning, growth, and energy every single day. With a predictable Monday to Friday schedule and no split shifts, late nights, or weekend work, this is a role that truly fits around your life.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards
- Managing the kitchen, including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Working closely with the team to cater for children's individual allergies and dietary needs
- Maintaining accurate records in line with food safety requirements
- Bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for childhood nutrition to everything you do
We're Looking for Someone Who: - Has experience in a similar cook or kitchen role — experience in an early childhood or school setting is highly regarded
- Genuinely loves cooking and understands the importance of healthy nutrition for young children
- Is reliable, efficient, organised, and capable of managing a kitchen budget
- Holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
- Holds a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or is willing to obtain one
- Child protection qualification is a requirement for this role
- Is a warm, collaborative team player who thrives in a small, community-focused environment
- Has knowledge of safe food handling practices and relevant health and safety regulations
