Clarence Street Long Day Care in South Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Director to help lead our newest service at the heart of the community. This 175-place centre, closely connected to the local neighbourhood, offers a vibrant and supportive environment.

In partnership with the Centre Director, you’ll guide a passionate team, ensure the smooth running of daily operations, and foster a warm, nurturing space where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can learn, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Centre Director in the effective day-to-day management of the centre
• Promote and maintain high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
• Lead by example and mentor educators to support their professional development
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families and the local community
• Confidently step into the Centre Director role during their absence

We seek a positive, motivated leader eager to grow and inspire. Essential qualifications and attributes include:

• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
• Proven experience in an educational leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team of educators
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach to early childhood education
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, and CPR certification
