About Yackandandah Health:
Yackandandah Health is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, an innovative national organisation with a unique vision to support not-for-profit aged care communities. Yackandandah Health is located in beautiful North East Victoria, close to snow fields, wineries and the beautiful Murray River. With over 100 employees, Yackandandah Health is the largest employer in the town.
We have developed a sustainable intergenerational site providing residential aged care, childcare, a medical centre, allied health services and apartment living. We are innovative and forward thinking in our approach to the delivery of community services.
The Role:We are looking for Permanent Part Time and Casual Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our wonderful facility in Yackandandah (Near the Albury region of NSW). You must be dedicated to working and understanding the residential aged care environment and standards. We have a range of shifts available and a culture of high-level empathy and compassion for our residents.
What you will do:As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring:
- Reporting to the RN, you will lead the care team
- Coordinate care in an allocated section of home and ensuring care plan compliance throughout the shift
- Advising and allocating care staff
- Recognition and escalation of the deteriorating resident
- Provision of safe, high-quality care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Promote a positive resident experience through a resident-first approach
- Providing ADL care to residents
- Maintain documentation as per organisational standards
What you will bring - Registration with the AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse is mandatory
- One-year of experience as a enrolled nurse in a residential aged care setting is desirable (new entrants will be considered)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hold NDIS Worker Checks (or willing to obtain)
- Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
