CONTRACTS MANAGER – PIPEWORK/MECHANICAL
  
POSITION : Contracts Manager

SALARY AND BENEFITS : £45-50k + vehicle

THE ROLE :
Our client is an established and successful business delivering high-quality industrial insulation and pipework services. They are primarily an insulation company, however, they are expanding their pipework division, which includes welding and fitting, to create a dedicated stream of income for the business. They are investing in a new pipework workshop and increasing their workforce, including the addition of more Welders and Fitters. This is an exciting growth opportunity, and they are looking for a Contracts Manager to play a key role in driving this expansion.
 As Contracts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the pipework projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your main responsibility will be to actively bring in new work for the business, growing a strong pipeline of projects. The role is based at the Hull office, which has its own dedicated workshop for pipework.
  
KEY RESPONSIBILITES :

• Oversee all aspects of pipework installation projects, from planning to completion.
• Lead and support site teams, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
• Actively pursue new business opportunities and generate leads for pipework contracts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and team performance.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and other project documentation.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
• Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Responsibility for creating and maintaining effective client contracts
• Overseeing and handling contract negotiations
• Tendering for new works or partnerships

  
  
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :

• Proven experience in industrial pipework or a related field.
• In depth understanding of contract language and excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven track record of generating new business and driving growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Minimum of 3 / 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel as required (expenses covered).
• Comfortable with using and producing office based spreadsheet/documents.
