The Opportunity
  
A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Associate or Managing Associate to join its Product Safety and Commercial Disputes team in London. You will advise household-name brands across consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, technology, and manufacturing sectors, handling both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on product safety issues, recalls, and regulatory compliance under UK and EU regimes.
• Managing a varied caseload of commercial disputes, including product liability and contractual claims.
• Acting for clients in complex, cross-border disputes involving multiple jurisdictions.
• Providing strategic advice on risk management and regulatory change.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, contracts, and regulatory submissions.
• Building strong relationships with clients and supporting business development initiatives.

About You

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years’ PQE in commercial disputes, product liability, or related regulatory work.
• Strong understanding of UK/EU product safety laws and/or commercial litigation.
• Experience advising on product recalls, regulatory investigations, or risk management desirable.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Confident working directly with clients and managing multiple matters simultaneously.
• A team player with commercial awareness and strong interpersonal skills.
