About this Opportunity
We are seeking a Category Buyer to join our Procurement and Supply Chain Department in Singapore. In this role, you will manage contract and tendering processes, oversee vendor performance, and drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with procurement strategies. You will play a key role in supporting operational efficiency and building strong supplier partnerships.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Find new cost reduction and optimization opportunities across the company through spend analysis, benchmarking, close engagement with stakeholders
• Negotiate new and renegotiate expiring contracts to ensure full compliance with our procurement strategies (cost reduction, simplification, improving stakeholder experience and etc).
• Ensure contract is communicated and used by all stakeholder in the company
• Ensure Vendor/Contractor fulfil our procurement requirements such as safety standards, modern slavery & responsible procurement.
• Ensure contract prices are updated into the system correctly and it is being used.
• Assist audit process related to vendor management and review. Ensure outstanding actions from audits are carried out in a timely manner by personnel.
• Assist other stakeholders in their tendering/business development with purchasing/commercial advice when required.

  
Qualifications and Experience

• 2 - 3 years’ experience working in a similar role coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications Relevant experience in a similar role
• Has training experience in Supply Chain or Procurement related
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel
• Demonstrable analytical capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
• Understands the importance of good stakeholder and client relations (both internal and external).
• Able to communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately both in oral and written form.
