About this Opportunity We are looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor to join our Subsea – Project & Operations team. This is a full-time position based in Malaysia supporting both offshore and onshore survey activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, calibration, offshore execution, data processing, data management, and reporting of survey projects. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate data collection and delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities - Carry out hydrographic survey operations including data acquisition, processing, and reporting
- Perform data processing using industry-standard software (e.g. HYPACK, QINSy, EIVA, GIS tools)
- Assist the Party Chief, Surveyor, or Survey Engineer with calibration of sensors as required
- Set up, test, and maintain survey equipment in preparation for offshore project
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair damaged or non-operational subsea equipment in the workshop
- Install and configure hydrographic and marine geophysics survey equipment and software
- Operate survey equipment and software in the field to acquire data in accordance with industry standards, company procedures, and project requirements
- Maintain accurate survey and equipment logs during operations
Qualifications and Experience - Completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree, specifically Surveying or Marine Science, or equivalent
- SSSI membership and active maintenance of a field logbook is desirable for the Certified Professional Hydrographic Surveyor (CPHS) accreditation program
- Demonstrated logistics planning experience
- Capable of building and sustaining effective relationships
- Carry out hydrographic survey operations including data acquisition, processing, and reporting
- Experience with QINSy (desirable)
- Caris HIPS
- QPS FGMT, QPS Qimera , EIVA, GIS tools
