The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Crew Allocation Officer to join our Vessel Operations division. Reporting to the Offshore Crewing Manager, this role will manage the sourcing and allocation of marine crew to vessels in accordance with company, industry and legislative requirements.
This role is based at our Perth office overlooking the beautiful Elizabeth Quay!
This position has a base salary from $85,000 to $95,000, subject to the candidate’s experience.
Key Responsibilities - Responsible for assigning of vessel crew to achieve business objectives to meet the needs and expectations of customers and internal stakeholders.
- Create and manage crew schedules ensuring adequate manning levels are met for vessels.
- Management of crew travel to and from the vessel to home port.
- End to end recruitment of vessel crew and on boarding of crew as and when required to ensure the MMA fleet is manned with quality crew at all times.
- Ensure compliance with relevant union EBAs and operational/contractual requirements.
- Coordinates the Fitness for Work requirements of vessel crew.
- Regularly conduct crew change checklist reports and issue seafarer work orders accordingly.
- Ensures compliance with MMA policies, procedures, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Drive the preparation of crew utilisation and planning processes, through workforce planning tools and practices, taking into consideration industry trends.
- Provide high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholder.
- Ensure Compliance with all people, safety, technical and business systems.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Raising PO’s and receipting invoices for all crew change associated costs.
- Process expense claims for crew.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
- On-call rotation.
Qualifications - Certificate or Diploma level qualification in Business Administration is desirable.
Essential Experience - Relevant experience in a similar role or in managing human related logistics.
- Previous experience within a high-volume mobilisation team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with ERP software (e.g. ProPeople, IFS) (desirable).
- Demonstrable analytical, communication and high attention to detail capabilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and complete tasks independently.
