The Opportunity As a Vessel Manager, you will work in collaboration with external contractors to effectively service and maintain company vessels in accordance with operational needs, including dry dockings. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimise business and asset performance and safely optimise the operations and commercial performance of vessels to meet the requirements of the Company’s business objectives.
This role is based at our Perth office overlooking the beautiful Elizabeth Quay!
Key Responsibilities - HSEQ performance and compliance with Company safety policies and procedures.
- Close collaboration with Commercial team for maximising Contract Execution and client management.
- Overall ownership of all technical/operations matters for assigned fleet with the functional in collaboration with support service within the business HR/HSEQ/Procurement/Centre of excellence
- Technical/Operational Management
- Financial performance management OPEX/CAPEX
- Staff management
- Change management
Qualifications and skills
- Min. Class 2 Engineering COC or equivalent tertiary education desirable.
Essential Experience - Relevant sailing experience or experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
- Previous Vessel Manager / Technical Superintendent in Australian region (desirable)
