We also deliver a range of renewable energy support services including pipline walking mitigation and asset stabilisation, offshore grouting and artificial reefs.
About this Opportunity
Reporting to the UK General Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and strengthening Cyan Subsea UK’s commercial position. You will be responsible for developing new client relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring strong commercial management across projects and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
• Represent Cyan Subsea UK including with Clients, authorities, relevant industry groups and the supply chain
• Deliver on the key performance targets for business development
• Lead and drive the acquisition of work / projects for the region
• Contribute to, and implement Cyan’s strategy in the region
• Lead tendering, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure profitable business.
• Provide commercial oversight of ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with contractual and financial obligations
• Work closely with Operations to ensure that our proposals are achievable, and that the risks and opportunities of the projects are identified, acceptable and managed.
• Continuously improve and incorporate lessons learned into the commercial and business acquisition process.
• Actively participate and contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts
• Support the reporting requirements and measurement against budgeted targets
• Identify and build upon Cyan’s strengths / competitive advantages
• Identify resource and capability gaps to be developed to deliver on the strategic targets of the business
• Drive new business opportunities that utilise Cyan’s asset and service offering
• Maintain an awareness of other organisation’s developments, competitive advantages, and opportunities for the benefit of Cyan
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management or another relevant field, or equivalent on the job experience and training
• Proven track record in business development and commercial management within subsea, offshore energy, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, tendering, and negotiations.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and translate them into successful projects.
• Commercially astute, results-driven, and strategic thinker.
• Proven track record in business development and commercial management within subsea, offshore energy, or related industries.
• Experience in some or all of Design Engineering / Subsea / Manufacturing / Offshore / Test and Assembly / Installation and Commissioning disciplines
Desirable Experience
• Business general management experience
• Proven project management and operational experience, within a marine environment
• Experience with offshore renewable projects and operations
• Working knowledge of oil and gas drilling, well and tree intervention operations
• Contract management experience
