YHA Byron Bay, The Deck and YHA Cape Byron, offer inviting common areas surrounding spacious, heated pools and BBQ zones, perfect for socialising and enjoying the Byron Bay lifestyle. With surfboards and boogie boards for hire, we encourage our guests to explore and experience the beaches, Arakwal National Park, local attractions and local culture. Located in the town centre, the properties are walking distance from the beach and cycling paths and the Jarjumirr Skate Park.


About the role

We are looking for a collaborative and inspiring Property Manager to take the lead of our Byron Bay properties. This is a leadership position where you will drive and support the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences whist creating a supportive inclusive environment for the team to flourish. With the support of our national network consisting of over 20 properties, you won’t just be running a hotel, you’ll be shaping a destination through:
  

• Inspiring and developing your team. Recruiting, mentoring and coaching a passionate, motivated team, creating a culture where people want to work and build a career in hospitality
• Managing budgets and controlling costs to maximise profitability and efficiency without compromising our guest or team experience
• Collaborating with our support offices to align marketing, partnerships and promotions of the property are strategically aligned with our values and growth plans
• Driving operational excellence whilst creating an environment where the curious come to connect with local and genuine experiences
• Ensuring our compliance and quality control remain of the highest standards whilst supporting our inclusive, sustainable practices

  
 What are we looking for

• Proven successful leadership in hotels or the accommodation industry as General Manager, Hotel Manager or similar
• Passion for being creative and thinking differently and embracing local culture and offerings
• Financial acumen and budget management experience with a similar style accommodation property
• An advocate for change and constant evolution to ensure best practice and innovative leadership
• Knowledge and respect for the local environment and economy
