Schirrmo’s is a basement bar in the heart of the city, right outside central station. This is a relaxed and casual bar and late-night venue, where you'll get to source and engage with promotors, DJ’s, acoustic performances and create themed activity nights on a regular basis. Being associated with YHA you will host multiple events and activities with our members.  There are loads of opportunities to use your creative flare to create and sculpt new offers, events and experiences for our guests.
  
We are currently seeking a full time Bar Manager to lead the team and provide high-quality customer service experience whist supporting the management of Food Safety, Liquor Licensing and RSA compliance.  You'll be able to genuinely make your mark on this property using your creativity and vision to help mould and shape the vibe of the bar. Currently we are open Wednesday to Saturday evenings, with the intent to extend trading hours.

If your goal is to open your own bar, this will be a great opportunity perfect your craft in an established and supported environment. 
  
What you'll get to do

• Put your stamp on a great little bar in a vibrant and busy location
• Manage the day to day operations of the Bar with a big focus on inspiring the team of around 10 to create a fun, safe and profitable environment
• Collaborate with F&B and Operations teams to co-ordinate events
• Take responsibility for the back of house, including stock, financial management, staffing costs, and COGS
• Be the face of the bar and lead from the front to set the tone for service level and energy of the bar

What are we looking for

• Previous leadership experience in a hospitality venue ie: venue management, bar management, restaurant management or similar
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card – valid in NSW
• Knowledge of Tanda (for Rostering), EPOSNOW and ADIALIZE systems would be beneficial
• RSA, Licensing, HACCP, Food Safety and WHSE compliance
• Passion for being creative and the desire to build a fun, safe and profitable environment for the team and the guests  
• Commercial acumen and proven success in managing COGs
• Permanent residency or unlimited working rights in Australia
• Pride and passion for the hospitality industry
• Proven ability to build a successful business and leveraging your industry connections
