YHA Newcastle Beach features a range of private and co-living rooms with shared bathrooms and offers facilities, including a spacious self-catering kitchen, cozy guest lounge, and convenient proximity to public transport, cafes, and local attractions.
About the role: YHA Newcastle Beach is seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist/Housekeeper to enhance our team on a casual basis. The perfect candidate will dynamically support both the front desk and housekeeping teams, committed to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining the property's immaculate condition, in line with the esteemed standards associated with YHA properties.
Day-to-day duties include: Front desk: Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere, answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations, checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay, resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
Housekeeping: duties include refreshing communal spaces, bathrooms and accommodation rooms, kitchens, monitoring and replenishing stock and ensuring our property remains sparkling clean.
What are we looking for?
What are we looking for: - Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service and commercial cleaning in an accommodation setting.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible availability roster including weekends and public holidays
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
