About us:
YHA Australia offers unique, affordable, and sustainable accommodation across Australia. We are a for-purpose, membership-based organisation and have provided curious travellers with quality short-stay accommodation for over 80 years. Our mission is to help create a more open and accommodating world where life flourishes.
Nestled in the heart of the bustling city centre, YHA Fremantle boasts 49 rooms and 175 beds, offering a stay steeped in history at the Fremantle Prison. Constructed in the 1850s, this unique lodging is the only one in Western Australia to hold the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Status. For the thrill-seekers, an overnight stay in an actual prison cell awaits! Additionally, the hostel caters to those seeking more comfort with a newly built section featuring private en-suite rooms for a touch of luxury.
Day-to-day duties include: Front desk: Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere, answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations, checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay, resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
