The Pastor is responsible for coming alongside the members with compassionate care, bringing Gospel-centered messages of encouragement and Biblical truth, and joining the elder board in overseeing the life of the church. The Pastor builds trust in relationship with the elders and members of the church by displaying humility and Christ-like integrity. Devoted to God’s Word, he will lead the members in growing deeply with Christ and finding their place of ministry in the life and mission of the church.
  
Primary Responsibilities

• Equip members for the work of disciple-making: speaking the truth in love and encouraging account ability for spiritual growth and ongoing life transformation 
• Preach expository, gospel-centered messages
• Model a Christ-centered lifestyle in reliance on the Holy Spirit that is characterized by humility, transparency, and a commitment to personal growth in Christ
• Provide guidance and training for members to identify and actively use their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church and the broader community
• Inspire and lead the congregation to see ministry as a shared calling, extending the church’s impact beyond its walls into daily life and service
• Manage the daily administration, operations, and business of the church

Experience

• Working collaboratively with elders, deacons, staff, & church leaders in impacting a community for Christ
• Proven experience developing discipleship programs that result in practical, Christ-centered transformation

Qualifications 

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ expressed in a healthy, prayerful lifestyle.
• Adherence to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• A commitment to honor God in every relationship and in all aspects of life and morality as guided by the Scripture
• Passion for the Great Commission and experience in missional living
• Pastoral leadership of 5 years preferred
• Graduate degree preferred

Expected compensation is 90,000 to 120,000
