Position Title: Business Development Manager, Transport - Maritime Provinces Location: Remote - Based in either Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Travel throughout NB, NS, and PEI is required. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle are essential. Company Snapshot: Trans Canam Logistics is a privately held, asset-based truckload carrier with headquarters in Montreal. Founded in 2018, the company operates 85 trailers and 40 trucks with a lean, agile team of 7-10 people. Clients describe the business as fast, responsive, and refreshingly honest about what it can and cannot do. Your biggest strength is in delivering reliable linehaul service and being the "go-to" outsourced carrier for larger operations like TFI and Amazon. Compensation Package:
Base Salary: $100K
OTE: $120K-$130K
Commission: Tiered structure TBD
Car Plan: $600 Monthly allowance + fuel card

Role Overview: The BDM will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the customer base and increase market presence within the truckload/dry van sector across the Maritimes. This includes both net new business development and some account management. Top Priorities:
Must come from the freight/transportation industry with a clear understanding of truckload logistics.
Must understand the Maritimes market and how business is done locally.
Prospecting and developing new client relationships with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Daily Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Build relationships with medium and large organizations, often selling to decision-makers like VPs of Supply Chain or Transportation Directors
Collaborate closely with dispatch and operations teams (tools like Samsara will be available for visibility)
Focus on linehaul profitability and volume growth
Maintain CRM discipline and regular follow-up

Training may involve travel to Montreal or Dave travelling to the Maritimes.
