Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed design calculations and analysis for mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical design efforts across engineering disciplines.
• Lead a small team of designers and drafters as needed.
• Develop proposals, feasibility studies, and preliminary designs.
• Transform concepts into final designs, including detailed drawings and materials lists.
• Investigate field issues and generate reports.
• Provide on-site technical support during major installations.
• Assist the sales team with customer interactions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in creative design, preferably in the steel or mining industry.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in guiding teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office, and FEA Analysis.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel 10-20%, including trips to the U.S. and within Canada.

Salary:
$125k plus benefits.
