Position Summary:
Developmental Support Worker provide direct support, supervision, and assistance to individuals with complex developmental disabilities. They will be responsible for implementing behavior support plans, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the safety and wellness of individuals supported. DSPs will also engage in meaningful interactions, participate in care meetings, and help with social, vocational, and recreational activities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Implement and monitor behavior support plans.
• Encourage participation in goals and community activities.
• Provide transportation to appointments and outings.
• Maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Administer medications as needed and follow health protocols.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree as Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Support Worker, or related field.
• UMAB Training
• CPR/First Aid and Crisis Intervention certification.
• Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Broad Record Check
• Physical ability for lifting, bending, and supporting individuals with aggressive behavior.
