We are looking for an appropriately qualified Allied Health Professional to provide life changing support for youth impacted by cancer.
Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer can crash into a young person’s world and shatter everything. Canteen provides young people impacted by cancer, and their parents, with access to a team of Allied Health Professionals who deliver programs, counselling and a range of other group and individual support activities.
The team at Canteen assist these young people to access the support they need to develop and maintain the skills and confidence to live healthy and happy lives.
We are looking for an appropriately qualified Allied Health Professional (Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Social Worker/Accredited Counsellor or appropriately trained occupational therapist or therapist) to work in our Canberra office on a permanent, part-time 30 hours per week basis.
The role is crucial in attracting referrals into Canteen’s services and promoting Canteen in the community by establishing and maintaining effective medical, psychosocial and educational networks. You will work as part of a devoted and dynamic team, supporting and inspiring young people living with cancer.
The Clinician helps to ensure young people’s involvement in each area of our services is a priority, and that they have opportunities to access and participate in programs across Canteen.
