What You’ll Be Doing As a Community OT, you’ll help clients improve independence, function, and quality of life within their own homes and communities.
Your caseload will be varied and may include:
- Functional assessments and ADL support
- Capacity building programs in home and community settings
- Home modifications and assistive technology prescription
- Neurorehabilitation (stroke, ABI, cerebral palsy, progressive conditions)
- Care coordination and client advocacy across NDIS, Aged Care, DVA, and other funding streams
You’ll work across a diverse community caseload including:
- NDIS
- Support at Home (formerly HCP)
- DVA
- Private Health
- Workcover
About You You may be early in your OT career or looking to take the next step. Either way, you’re passionate about community-based care and making a real impact.
We’re looking for someone who has: - Bachelor’s or master's degree in occupational therapy
- Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience preferred
- Community or NDIS experience highly regarded (but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine people-focused approach
- Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
You must also have (or be eligible to obtain):
- A valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check
