ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are experienced working as an Occupational Therapist in the community space with NDIS and / or HCP (minimum 2 years experience desirable),
• Are driven by a desire to form genuine connections with patients and provide a holistic and personalised care,
• Enjoy an exciting variety of work. No two days are the same – different patients, different homes and different needs,
• Wants the ability to manage their schedule to enable achievement of personal lifestyle goals & great outcomes for patients,
• Thrives working collaboratively with other allied health professionals, and loves the buzz of getting great results together,
• Are driven to progress their career and raise the bar in the community care industry,
• Have leadership experience and are confident in mentoring others (desirable).

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing and coordinating capacity building programs in the home and the community.
• Educating participants, their supporters, and their families on strategies to increase occupational engagement and performance.
• Modifying the home environment to suit the needs of individuals and to facilitate independence.
• Prescription and acquisition of assistive technology for home and community access.
• Advocation to funding bodies to support the needs of clients and their support network.

You will be working with a wide range of caseloads such as:

• NDIS
• Home Care Packages
• DVA
• Private Health and Insurers

To be considered, you must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy and have experience working in the community space as an Occupational Therapist, hold a current AHPRA certificate and professional insurance and COVID Vaccinations.
