Position: Senior Business Systems Analyst – Wires

About the Role:
OpenTrust Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead critical components of a large-scale Payments Migration Project. This role will focus on transitioning wire payment systems to a modernized vendor solution and includes backend integrations, system design, and updates to FX pricing engines. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, deep expertise in wire payments, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business and systems analysis for backend changes, integrations, and new implementation scenarios for inbound/outbound wire payment processing.
• Collaborate in the design and execution of a comprehensive migration from legacy systems to a new vendor platform.
• Ensure smooth system integration and update FX pricing engines to improve preferred pricing models.
• Gather, document, and validate technical and business requirements while liaising with development teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Participate in API design, testing (using tools like POSTMAN), and requirement verification to ensure seamless delivery.
• Drive project execution in hybrid Waterfall/Agile environments, facilitating communication across multiple teams.

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the Payments industry.
• Proven expertise in wire payment systems (experience with SWIFT & Lynx required).
• Hands-on experience in backend system integrations and design for wire processing solutions.
• Familiarity with API design, RESTful services, and testing tools like POSTMAN.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Python (nice to have but not required).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in ambiguous environments and timeline estimation.
• Demonstrated success working in hybrid project environments (Waterfall/Agile).
